This Privacy Policy explains how Minimal Platter ("we", "us", the "app") handles your information. Minimal Platter is a calorie and food tracking app where you log entries in plain language. We built it to be minimal — and that extends to the data we collect.

Information we collect

• Food and activity entries. The text you type to log food or exercise, along with the calorie and nutrition values derived from it, and the date of each entry.
• Account information. If you sign in, we process the identifier provided by your chosen sign-in method (such as an email address) to authenticate you and sync your data.
• Subscription status. Purchases are handled by Google Play. We receive your subscription state (active, trial, expired) but never your full payment details.
• Waitlist email. If you submit your email on our website, we use it solely to notify you about the app's release.

How your entries are processed

When you log an entry, the text is sent to Google's Gemini API to estimate calories and nutrition. This processing is required for the core feature of the app to work. Your text is transmitted securely and is subject to Google's API data policies. We do not send your entries to any other third party.

How we use your information

• To provide the core tracking features and calculate your daily totals.
• To sync your data across sessions and devices when you are signed in.
• To manage your subscription and free trial.
• To respond to support requests you send us.

Storage and retention

Your entries are stored on your device and, when you are signed in, in our secure backend so they can sync. You can delete individual entries at any time within the app. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app — namely Google (Gemini API, Firebase, and Google Play) — and only to the extent required to deliver the features described here, or where required by law.

Children

Minimal Platter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices

You can stop using the app and delete it at any time. You can request deletion of your stored data by emailing us. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Google Play account.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated within the app or by email where appropriate.
